Overview

The November 17, 2015 M 6.4 earthquake west of Lefkada Island, Greece, occurred as the result of strike slip faulting on or near the regional plate boundary between the Nubia (Africa) and Eurasia plates. Extensive structural damages, landslides and many damages on the island's main roads caused mainly on the southwest part of the island.
